GOLDRUSHERS is a wacky multiplayer brawler. Players rush through a low poly western world grabbing anything of value, including the contents of your opponent’s safe. Watch out for flying horses and stray dynamite if you want to keep your gold. Anything goes in GOLDRUSHERS.
GOLDRUSHERS was originally developed as a semester long group project between Georg Luif and me. We designed and created the game collaboratively and I was interested in the level design and player versus player interactions.
Through level design, I aimed to balance players visual experiences navigating a western world, but also competing quickly for resources scattered throughout the map. Through player interactions, I aimed to keep the controls simple and intuitive so that players could get to the excitement of the game as fast as possible. I also wanted to be sure that the PvP mechanics were silly and comedic, but still maintaining some depth for competitive strategy and excitement.
